Yu Qin was raised in Chengdu by a family of dreamers and he is driven by the opportunities of the future. He spent hours on his computer, gaming, 3D modeling and developing a visual aesthetic that still resonates with him today.
He is fascinated with technologies and how they can improve peoples’ quality of life. He believes that technology has the greatest potential to allow people to live in new ways by enabling experiences that were considered impossible. He aims to be the bridge between design thinking and technical development.

This project aims to understand human behaviour around the sense of balance. In order to experience “our most delicate sense”, this project mainly focuses on the connection between balance and other basic senses such as touch, sound and vision. It explores how our brains react to the information of balance through other senses. The final project designs three wearable devices that aim to augment the user’s perception of balance.
