Sarah is a "no-where" based designer since she is always on the move. A few years after finishing her BA in graphic design at Northeastern University, she went on to pursue a masters degree in User Experience Design at UAL. Having traveled and lived around the world, she strives to design within a cultural context. Her passion for exploration pushes her into the outdoors and she is constantly trying to find ways to merge her love of outdoor adventure and design.

Exposed: Highlighting gender inequality in the outdoor gear industry

This project attempts to expose the outdoor gear industries lack of gear design for women. Through critical design, I have created a series of spoof outdoor gear products for women that highlight some of the absurd practices that go on. Placing these items on a satirical website, I have created a place to shame the outdoor gear industry while creating a place of community for women in the outdoors.
