MyUniRoom

University students spend many hours in their university bedroom which has an impact on their wellbeing. MyUniRoom explores the emotions experienced externally by a student in their university bedrooms in a multi-media and explorative way. The project takes people on a journey through the different sections of the university bedroom including the chair, bed, wardrobe and desk in which installations and videos provide an insight into the emotions experienced. The FMP project also includes the website MyUniRoom which provides students with a voice to share their experiences in different parts of their bedroom. The website also acts as a tool for research into the emotions faced by students in their accommodation room. As well as showcasing student emotions, the project aims to provide an insight and spark important conversations on the effects student accommodation has on a student’s wellbeing.
