Lara Biagini has a background in Industrial Product Design currently attending her master in User Experience Design. She is passionate about design: she takes every brief as an opportunity to face herself with stimulating challenges that can enrich her development as a designer. Every design she creates is a balance between the skills she has in both UX and Product Design.
On one side, her outcomes reflect her need to make ideas tangible, on the other, they have a mix of personal feelings attached. Lara is a great collaborator: she believes different minds working on the same project are the strength of each outcome.
INSIEME
Insieme is an in-depth study about how skateboarders use areas of the city of London that are not intended for skateboarding. It also seeks to understand and improve the process
of designing for skateboarders. The research process highlighted that street skateboarding is considered by skateboarders to be the most rewarding part of their experience. Investigations also showed that the process of designing for skateboarders is often conservative and produces outcomes that are obvious and not challenging. The findings were then translated into a workshop that asks skateboarders to rethink urban objects by building three dimensional prototypes of designed areas for street skateboarding.
