Faye is passionate about social design, after many years of contact with her position, she realized that the ultimate charm of design lies in the profound reflection hidden behind the phenomenal surface, and is the aesthetic, rational and philosophical wisdom. The aesthetic sense found in nature and art is the most important factor affecting human thought. Design is not a skill, but a sense and insight to capture the essence of things. When we look at things from an approachable design perspective, we will find that our lives are full of beauty and surprise that are often overlooked, as well as the untapped value of objects.
Humane Algorithm
This final major project originated from my thinking about the food delivery system dominated by algorithms.
Based on the algorithmic culture, I take the future scenario as the guide, reflect on social issues through speculative design thinking and strategies, and present the collision between technology and human nature more violently and directly in front of the audience, thus inspiring more possibilities of controversy value. To inspire the audience to think: Driven by artificial intelligence and algorithm technology, what might the world become in the future? How should design develop in the future? In the era of digital economy, what kind of existence should algorithms be? If we incorporate emotion, morality, fairness and value into algorithm technology, will it be a better existence?
The final form of the work is an interactive workshop that sells out the algorithm system as a context. It tries to break the monopoly of algorithm technology in the entire process through human intervention. I hope that the audience will have more thinking when they are in the space I built.
