Hello, I’m Farah Zia! I’m an Afghan-American experience designer and researcher with a background in behavioral science and theater, and I’ve worked in a range of settings from community-based nonprofits to startups for over six years. To better understand something, I take a playful, embodied approach and enjoy getting my hands dirty to create something together. Ultimately, I hope to facilitate meaningful conversations and experiences through design.

Through Anger

“Anger is not what gets in our way, it is our way. All we need to do is own it.” - Soraya Chemaly Access to anger is granted unequally, especially to those in marginalized communities, yet it remains one of our most powerful resources for creating change. Inspired by intersectional feminist thinkers, like Audre Lorde, and somatic healing practices, “Through Anger'' creates a physical space for creative anger externalization through material exploration and movement. This project invites you to create your own rituals and release practices as a form of connecting with yourself and resisting silencing practices. Visit through-anger.com to learn more.
