Daniela is a UX designer/researcher with a background in graphic design and entrepreneurship. Her incurable curiosity about humans and the world give her a mind that is naturally drawn to research. Daniela has an unconventional sensitivity when it comes to tell stories in a way people not only will listen, but will be immersed in it. This allows her to effortlessly present facts and findings to a variety of audiences, in a language that they understand. Daniela’s lifelong interest in psychology and human physiology drive her interest to dig deeper into the study of the posthuman and the experience of bringing technology into the space of the body.

WEARABLE FOODS

Can you imagine a world in which you’d have to wear your food? This project explores what a wearable device that delivers food to the body could look like. Research on biochemistry, nanotechnology and mobile electricity generation methods provide a realistic framework for the design constraints, while a touch of immersive fiction gives room for imagining a future in which such a device could be urgently needed. The main research was made through a co-design session, and the analysis of the artefacts created revealed their design principles, as well as the embedded desires and politics associated with them. The result is a piece of speculative design that holds a delicate balance between scientific fact and fiction.
